When Not to Use Class II Compression Contraindications

  • Acute hypo dermatitis
  • Malignant tumor of the leg
  • Acute microbial infection of any part of the leg, abscess, furuncle, erysipelas
  • Scleroderma
  • Neuropathy
  • Arterial insufficiency
  • Acute cellulitis
  • Septic phlebitis
  • Congestive heart failure
  • Advance peripheral obstructive arterial disease

 

If you feel discomfort at any time, remove the stockings and consult your healthcare provider. Also, be aware that if your legs change due to swelling, you may need a different size.
